MENTORING FOR 18-24

Cultivating authentic growth

Welcome to our adult mentoring program designed specifically for young men aged 18-24. Facilitated by experienced Youth Workers and normally spanning two months, we help equip young males with the practical skills to make informed decisions, ultimately enhancing their quality of life and relationships within their communities.

This evidence-based program provides young men with essential tools to navigate various challenges, from relationships and drug use to body image and self-esteem, financial literacy, domestic violence, and pornography. Our mentors create a welcoming, non-judgmental space where young men can explore, understand, and overcome these challenges under the guidance and support of positive role models. Join us as we unlock their potential and actively shape a healthy and secure future.

First and foremost they developed a strong belief in themselves. We’ve seen incredible growth in confidence. They are equipped with a great knowledge base to become future leaders in whatever capacity that takes form in.

Sacha – Top Blokes Youth Worker

A young guy might realise that he has a problem, but then to actually do something about it? He won’t do that. The Top Blokes program created that bridge for many of us – a bridge between realising a problem and actually doing something about it.

Liam – RAAF

The willingnes to grow and be vulnerable with us and each other was incredible to witness. That openness really blew us away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this program for?

Our mentoring program is tailor-made for young men aged 18-24 who are eager to enhance their lives. Rather than dwelling on challenges, we celebrate the journey of self-improvement. Our experienced mentors create a safe, non-judgmental space where young men can explore, learn, and grow. Together, we’ll navigate life’s twists and turns, helping shape a brighter future.

What are the steps to starting the program?

Head to Get in Touch to submit your enquiry and we’ll be in touch. We’ll talk through the program, what’s involved and our availability in your area. From that first conversation, you’ll have all the details so you can plan the inclusion of the mentoring program in your workplace, community group or higher education calendar and schedule. If a phone conversation isn’t your thing, we can chat over email.

How many men can join the program?

8-12 participants per group is ideal so they can gain the most out of the program. Depending on the dynamics of the group and the needs of the men, we can also work with more or fewer students.

How long does the program and each session go for?

We work with you to establish a timeframe for delivery. We do believe that long-term change takes time and consistent support so we would recommend eight weeks however our qualified Youth Workers can run the program for six to 12 weeks if you prefer.
Each weekly session is around two hours, with frequent movement and brain breaks. Please let us know what your needs are and we’ll work with you to set up a schedule – even if you are looking for just a one to two day program.

What qualifications do the program facilitators hold?

We believe in the power of professional guidance to help boys grow. Our program facilitators are qualified Youth Workers and hold tertiary qualifications in Youth Work, Social Welfare or Psychology. Our entire team carries Working with Children and National Police checks.
Our Youth Workers act as positive role models, helping to expand the students’ circle of influence.

How is the effectiveness of the program measured and reported?

Three key outcome themes – Belonging, Being, Becoming – are the backbone of the programs and outcomes are measured against these. Pre-program surveys are completed by students and teachers. Post-program surveys are completed by students, parents and teachers. All survey data is used to measure outcomes. A full report is provided to the school upon completion of surveys and evaluations.
